charming stay near picturesque canals and museums

I truly enjoyed my time here in the spacious twin room with clean, modern design and great natural light. The location made it super easy to wander just a few steps to explore the beautiful Kurashiki Bikan Historical Quarter and enjoy the lovely atmosphere of the nearby Shinkeien Garden.

I loved the location of Ivy Square, so close to the historic Bikan area. Strolling along the quaint canals was delightful. The hotel itself, a converted textile mill, had a unique charm. My room was spacious and immaculately clean, featuring stylish design with a huge flat-screen TV and ample drawer space. The public bath was excellent, especially after a day of exploring. Breakfast was a highlight, with an impressive selection of both Japanese and Western options. However, I found the breakfast area a bit lacking in atmosphere, resembling a big cafeteria. I also faced a minor inconvenience with the public bath. my room was a bit far, and I couldn't wear a robe to get there. Overall, it’s a fantastic place to stay, but a few improvements in the dining ambiance and room access would enhance the experience.

We had an enjoyable stay in the spacious family room, which was newly renovated and offered great amenities. The gardens were perfect for our dogs, and the proximity to the beautiful canals made our strolls delightful. The staff made our visit even more relaxing.

For dads, it would be great to have a larger play area for kids.

The beautiful building truly impressed us. We enjoyed a spacious family room, and the kids loved exploring the unique gift shops nearby. Plus, it was great to have our pets with us, making for a truly family-friendly experience.
